Rainbow Sunset At Halls Crossing

While at Lake Powell one evening, this incredible image appeared. The sun, distant rain, and clouds combined to form this beautiful setting. I took this while standing on top of a houseboat. I liked the other houseboat in the foreground to give a little interest and perspective to this photo. Lake Powell is still one of my favorite places on earth.

Mt. Timpanogos at Sunset

I get to look at this beautiful mountain almost every day. I have taken hundreds of photos of it at all times of the day (and night). This one was kind of special because of the color of the setting sunlight on the snow. Hope you like it.

Puffball at Sunset

I love puffballs. They are, I learned this evening, especially beautiful at sunset. I was trying to get a shot of Mt. Timpanogos with the golden light, but was not in a very good location to do so. I gave up and was walking back to the car when I spotted this puffball being backlit by the setting sun. All I had to do was lie down on my stomach and snap away.

Ship in Bergen Sunset

While walking back to my hotel in Bergen, Norway at 10:15 PM, I saw this incredible light behind a ship at the other end of the harbor. I zoomed in, cropped close, and just recorded the beautiful image that I saw. Here it is!

Hanalei Pier at Sunset

I got under a tree to take this shot. If you have ever been to this place on the island of Kauai, you know how special this spot is. It started to rain shortly after I took this photo (not unusual) and I changed cards in my camera at that time. I got into the car and started to drive away when I discovered that I had dropped the card with this photo (and many others) on it. We drove back to the pier and looked all over the beach and ultimately found the memory card in the sand. I'm glad we went back!

Siesta Key Sunset

This was an unbelievable sunset at Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, Florida. This is what the colors looked like. I have not enhanced this photo in any way.

Las Vegas Sunset

This photo was taken through the windshield of the car as we were driving down Flamingo Blvd. in Las Vegas. The colors are unbelievably dramatic and I like the contrast of the telephone poles and street lights in the picture. A beautiful sunset doesn't have to be in an unobstructed setting.

Sunset Reflection

This sunset was in Orlando, Florida at Animal Kingdom, Disney World. There are so many beautiful things to photograph there, but nothing can compare with the natural beauty of a special sunset with still water in the foreground to create the mirror-image reflection. This is the actual color of the scene.
