Epcot Center-Spaceship Earth at Night

Disney World at night is extraordinarily beautiful. Add Christmas decorations and it almost becomes color overload. Bring on the color! I can take it.

Giraffe

I like this simple photo of this gifaffe against the solid green background of leaves and trees. I was on a moving truck at Animal Kingdom in Disney World.

Brown Derby

Just another cool neon sign. This one is the Hollywood Brown Derby Restaurant at Disney Studios in Florida. I remember driving by the original in Hollywood when I was a little boy. Great food inside--grapefruit cake is to die for.

Magic Kingdom

The first image you see when you enter the Magic Kingdom at Disney World is this train station. I've taken dozens of photos of it, but I like this totally symmetrical shot with the American Flag against the deep blue sky best. It was taken during the holidays. Notice the Christmas garland on the train.

Owl Lamp

I love photographing interesting light fixtures. This one is in the Wilderness Lodge at Disney World in Florida.

Christmas Entrance at EPCOT

As you walk from Future World to World Showcase at EPCOT Center at Christmas time, you walk under this beautiful "light tunnel." A gorgeous, huge Christmas tree is at the end. The effect is magical.

Blue Truck

I've taken at least 50 pictures of this truck over the last six years. It is in "Asia" in Animal Kingdom at Disney World. It is actually converted into a food stand where you can buy drinks and ice cream!

Monorail in the Afternoon

I love photographing the Monorail at EPCOT Center. It is so sleek and quiet. I especially liked this shot with the late afternoon sun lighting the scene.

Downtown Disney at Night

This was taken late one night as we were leaving Downtown Disney after a LONG day in the parks. I loved the reflections in the standing water on the ground. My camera was handheld without a tripod. Not perfect, but not bad.

Main Street Horse

We rode in the front row of this trolly down Main Street in Magic Kingdom. I took several photos looking forward. I took one (this one) after we got off. I like the view of the horse in this one better than the ones taken from the other point of view (for obvious reasons). Beautiful animal!

Long-Necked Bird

An interesting shot of a bird with an extremely long neck. I cropped close to accentuate the long neck and beak. It was fun following this guy around Magic Kingdom.

Father and Daughter

I caught this moment as we were hurrying over to Space Mountain. This dad with his precious little "pixie" were on their way to have more fun in Fantasyland. Of course this was early in the day. I'm not sure how much fun it was as the day wore on and she got more tired!

Christmas Window

The shops at Disney Studios go all out with color and creativity in their window decorations. A not so "hidden Mickey" was the inspiration for this Christmas Wreath.

Mount Everest

Well, it is actually Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom in Florida. The beautiful light and reflection in the lagoon at twilight was breathtaking.

Monorail

The monorail at Disney World in Florida is so sleek, clean, and quiet. It's fun to photograph it.

Neon Disney Logo

The cruise ship "Disney Magic" is especially beautiful at night. This neon logo is on one of the stacks on the top deck. Steady hand--no tripod.

Tomorrowland Speedway

Standing in line ready to get on the Tomorrowland Speedway (originally called "Autopia") I noticed these numbered waiting areas through a telephoto lens. I like the relatively shallow depth of field in the shot and the round shapes of the numbers.

Streetlight in Morocco

I love photographing interesting streetlights and neon. This one is in Morocco (at EPCOT Center in Florida).

Drummer at EPCOT

This guy was part of a crazy, but very entertaining drum group that performed on the street at EPCOT Center. I used a fast shutter speed to catch the action. I like the reflection in his glasses.

Cinderella's Castle at Christmas

We were at Magic Kingdom after dark before Christmas this year when the castle began to light up. By the time it was fully lit there were over 200,000 LED lights blanketing the building. Again, I was without a tripod so I had to concentrate to hold as still as I could. The picture is pretty, but I can't tell you how beautiful it was in person. People simply stopped and stared as it lit up, and most just stood still and enjoyed the sight for the next 30 minutes or so. I took LOTS of shots. Here are two of them.
