Ice Crystals

A couple of winters ago, we had several days of temperature inversion with lots of fog. It was very cold and these ice crystals formed on the trees and weeds near Utah Lake. There is no snow here. I love the contrast of the dark bark of the tree trunks and branches against the stark white of the ice.

I love it. The contrast between the white and dark is one of my favorite things about winter.
